Learn about the international standard on minimum design loads to determine wind and seismic forces and design efficient non-building structures.

Although the word ‘structures’ often brings to mind buildings, some of the world’s great feats of engineering are classified as non-building structures - think of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Channel Tunnel and Hoover Dam.

This course will provide participants with tools to design efficient non-building structures that meet the requirements of ASCE/SEI 7-10, the international standard on minimum design loads that acts as a base document for determining wind and seismic forces.

An expert ASCE facilitator will use practical examples throughout the course to demonstrate the principles being taught.

This course is run exclusively by The American Society of Civil Engineers with Engineering Education Australia.
